Homekit compatible vacuum cleaners

Looking for a HomeKit robot vacuum? Robot vacuums don't join Apple Home through the classic HomeKit accessory protocol. They connect through Matter, and every model in this category is listed as Matter-compatible.

Matter added a robot vacuum device type in version 1.2 (2023), and Apple Home has supported it since iOS 18.4 (spring 2025). In the Home app you can start and stop a clean, send the robot back to its dock, switch cleaning modes such as vacuum only or vacuum and mop, and check its status. You can also use the robot in scenes, automations and Siri commands. Matter 1.4 (November 2024) added the Service Area feature, which lets Apple Home ask the robot to clean specific rooms. You still create the map and rooms in the manufacturer's app, and the robot's firmware must support the feature.

What you need: a home hub (HomePod, HomePod mini or Apple TV) to add Matter accessories. Matter support often arrives as a firmware update, so update the robot in its own app before adding it. Pair the robot directly by scanning its Matter code: a robot bridged through another hub may not appear as a full vacuum in Home. No-go zones, suction power and mop settings stay in the maker's app.
