- The door/window sensor detects opening/closing using a Hall effect sensor and reports this to your iOS device. Opening is detected by separating the sensor body and magnet. Changing the status is displayed with a flash.
- The door/window sensor detects tampering when the accessory is detached from the surface or the case is opened and reports them to your iOS device. Manipulations are indicated by flashing twice.
- The door/window sensor measures the ambient temperature every 10 minutes. If the measured temperature differs from the previously reported at a temperature of at least 1 °C, the accessory reports this to your iOS device.
- The door/window sensor measures the battery level every 24 hours and reports it to your iOS device. If the battery level is below 15%, the accessory will report a low battery level to the iOS device.
- Control this HomeKit-enabled accessory requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 9.3 or later. Control this HomeKit-enabled accessory on the go requires a third-generation Apple TV with Apple TV software 7.2.1 or later, or a fourth-generation Apple TV with tvOS 9.2 or later, and an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 9.3 or later.
