- Troubleshooting Tips: Please update the software to the latest version. Make sure VPN/DSN services are disabled and the location services for the Home app remain enabled on your phone. Connect your iPhone or iPad to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network to add the accessories. Installation fails on a 5GHz Wi-Fi network. Please temporarily turn off the router 5GHz WiFi until it has been successfully added. For Google, Netgear and Eero, please disable "Band Control". If you have many repeaters in your house, give the repeater you used on the smart device a specific SSID
