Tapo T150 presence sensor brings Matter via Tapo hub

TP-Link's Tapo T150 combines mmWave presence, motion, temperature, humidity and light sensing and reaches Apple Home through a Tapo hub's Matter support.

TP-Link has launched the Tapo T150 in Poland, a battery-powered 5-in-1 sensor that detects presence and motion and measures temperature, humidity and ambient light. It pairs 24 GHz mmWave radar with a PIR sensor, so it can tell that someone is still in the room even when they sit still, and it reaches up to 6 m. In the Tapo app you can set detection zones and exclusion areas to ignore things like fans, pets or robot vacuums. The sensor has no camera or microphone.

The T150 talks to its hub over Sub-GHz 868 MHz rather than Wi-Fi, and it needs a Tapo Smart Hub (H100, H200 or H500) to work. Through the hub's Matter support it can be used with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings.

Two AAA batteries power it for up to three years, according to TP-Link. It is rated IP55, measures 70.2 x 39.2 x 33 mm and comes with a magnetic swivel mount, adhesive tape and screws. TP-Link Poland announced it on October 28, 2026 with a two-year warranty; availability in other European countries was not stated.
