Nuki Smart Module brings invisible Matter access to motorised doors
Nuki's Smart Module hides fifth-generation lock tech in the door, runs on mains power and joins Apple Home and other platforms via Matter.
Nuki has launched the Smart Module, an invisible access solution that puts the technology of its fifth-generation smart lock into the door itself. It controls electromechanical locks such as motorised locks and automatic door openers from a flush-mounted or factory-fitted install, so no hardware sits on the inside of the door. Because it runs on a permanent power supply, there are no batteries to change or recharge.
Users keep Nuki's usual features, including Auto Unlock, remote access and digital access rights on a smartphone. The system stays modular: accessories such as a Keypad can add Tap to Unlock via NFC, fingerprint or entry codes. Through Matter, the Smart Module works with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings.
Nuki says the Smart Module is available across Europe as a factory-fitted option through door manufacturers, as a retrofit through authorised Nuki Pro Partners, and as a standalone product in the Nuki Online Shop. The same announcement also introduces a limited White Edition of the Keypad 2 NFC with Theft Detection for all Keypad 2 NFC models.
