Nanoleaf has released firmware 5.1.45 for all of its Matter over Thread devices. Its release notes date the update to 7 October 2026 and list the covered products as Matter over Thread bulbs, downlights, GU10 spots and lightstrips.

With the update, Apple Adaptive Lighting can be used natively in the Apple Home app, so lights can move automatically from cool, bright tones during the day to warmer, softer tones in the evening. The firmware also adds support for Matter 1.4 and, according to Nanoleaf, improves connection stability and reliability in the Nanoleaf app. Nanoleaf's Matter over Wi-Fi devices were upgraded to Matter 1.4.2 separately with firmware 5.2.54 on 23 September.

The release notes name A19 and BR30 bulbs alongside downlights, GU10s and lightstrips, but do not list European bulb variants separately or mention any regional limits. Nanoleaf advises staying close to the devices while they update.
